I just received them yesterday and I will be shearing some sheep later today. And I will gladly give you a review if also you provide me with a phone number for someone I can talk to and ask questions.
Looks and feels like good unit. We have a corded 240V unit but need to plug it in to an inverter connected to our ute battery to use it in the yards. This unit will be way more convenient. I also found a source of battery adapters and have bought one to allow us to use our existing supply of AEG tool batteries with a Makita adapter.
I asked for a US plug, don’t know what the hell kind of plug you sent me and it’s so freaking frustrating because I don’t have a blasted number to call to get the freaking right electrical plug!!
It started off working well and after a while was just gutless and couldn’t even crutch a ewe let alone shear one
Tried charging batteries
Disappointing
I was delighted to get my clippers. Took them to the shed and asked the shearer to try them out...tgey were terrible even changed the battery and still slow . All it did was massage the sheep noe any use at all
A great bit of kit for my small herd of sheep, handy for Dagging and doing Bellies for winter.
Handy it takes Makita 18v batteries as well, a big plus and that was the selling point for me
Treated two fly struck sheep in the paddock today. No more lifting and loading heavy animals and getting them back to our shearing shed to shear them. Great product. Real time and back saver.
Received the clippers and was so impressed
For the money they look and feel much more expensive pair that I had seen in the farm shops at £300 ,only time will tell how they perform, but very happy so far with them
Thank you
I just used this today to shear my llama. It worked very well. The only 2 things I had slight issues with. First off, it's pretty heavy so my arm got tired. Secondly, the speed dial was right where I had to hold it and I kept accidentally rolling the speed up faster than I wanted. Otherwise it's a great clipper. I will need to buy some more blades though. My llama likes to roll in dirt and the blade got dull before I was done due to cutting through dirt and debris in her fiber. I had to change the blade before I was done.
